The People Behind Torque Media
Founded by industry. Run by industry.

Melanie Cahani
Editor & Publisher
Melanie brings almost two decades of experience in the Australian automotive industry to her role as Publisher. Her background spans senior marketing and media roles at Honda Australia, Philips and Motorcycling Australia, as well as founding and running 3 Little Birds, a specialist automotive marketing agency that now sits within the Torque Media Group family.
She holds a Bachelor of Communications from Griffith University and an MBA from Federation University.
Mel has been a contributor to both publications prior to the acquisition and is well known within the auto electrical and workshop trades. She leads editorial direction, audience development and marketing across both titles.

Aaron Frood
Operations | Finance
Aaron brings 20 years of experience in Australia’s mining and civil industries, sectors built on heavy equipment, diesel power and the kind of mechanical precision that doesn’t leave room for error.
It’s given him a genuine respect for the trades, a practical understanding of how technical businesses operate under pressure and a commercial mindset forged in some of Australia’s most demanding work environments.
As co-director of Torque Media Group, Aaron oversees the group’s financial performance, operational structure and revenue strategy, ensuring both publications are built on solid foundations and positioned for long-term growth.
